Returning to a career which had helped her financially through her college years, Laura was thankful for the opportunity to work once again with the women who were always there by her side. They respected her rights and privacy, even though there were days the job got to her. This was the only way she knew how to keep herself safe and hidden.
She had attended college to become a paralegal and worked in a prestigious law firm. Laura had known that marriage was not always tea and roses. From what she experienced from cases on the job and in her own family, she had been cautious in making any type of commitment. She let her guard down, the day she met Attorney Tim Hutton. He was the man of her dreams, or so she thought. Laura had no choice. She knew that her life was at risk. Who would think that the life she once experienced would return in a different form. With the terror of being in this all too familiar situation in her past, Laura knew that she had to make a quick and drastic decision. "A different style of living, but one that will see me through this all", she thought to herself.
